About Us

In the ancient world, wine production was to be found in the mediterranean region. For centuries these lands were covered with vibrant and fertile grapevines. During the Roman’s era these wines have been taken to the European continent and of course into Italy.

Around 700 CE the whole wine production has been forsaken in this region, a.o. pandemics, eruptions and due to the ruling of the Ottoman Empire. It is only in the end of the 19th century that we see changes thanks to the influence of French modern viticulture technology.

Out of passion for the Mediterranean lifestyle, VINILU wants to bring you the link between the ancient terroirs with modern viticulture know-how, the old and the new, and centralized around the basin of Western civilization: the Mediterranean Sea.

During our trips, we have met genuine people and families with a passion for the wine all wanting to produce unique wines.

Our tour goes from Israel to Jordan, and from Lebanon to Greece and brings you a geographical and historical story. The vineyards can be found on mountain hills, on coastal plains, and in the middle of the desert.

Our portfolio demonstrates that each grape variety can be surprisingly different depending on the terroir.

The focus of VINILU is to introduce to you ‘Boutique wines’, from small family entrepreneurs. Each bottle brings a different experience and will definitely be ‘something special’.
